When should Hypnotherapy not be used ?

You need to pay attention and concentrate, for hypnosis to do its work. If you are unable to concentrate, hypnosis is unlikely to occur.

For instance, if you are on medication which is a strong sedative, and the medication is still active.

People in psychosis or mania are difficult to hypnotize.
It is difficult to hypnotize people who are intoxicated, especially with alcohol.
For the treatment to be effective,
you need to avoid times with these circumstances.

So come and see me,
even if you are on medication,
or suffering from mental illness.
But avoid times when the medication is heavily affecting you, or when you have trouble concentrating.
